Abstract: Skarn-type scheelite deposit is widespread and has the greatest economic value, occupies an important place among all tungsten deposits in the world, and accounts for half of the total tungten reserves in the world In China, skarn-type scheelite makes up at least 60％ of the total tungsten reserves. Therefore, study of skarn-type scheelite deposit is of great economic and strategic importance. In previous studies, some researchers have done a lot of works on skarn-type scheelite deposit and obtained a series of achievements. In this paper, on the basis of previous data, the spatial and temporal distribution, the geological and metallogenic characteristics, the ore-forming fluid and source, the metallogenic mechanism and comparison of typical deposits in domestic and abroad are discussed, and an overview of the current state in study of the skarn-type scheelite deposit is presented.
